INDIVIDUAL GOALS REQUIRE INDIVIDUALIZED PLANS

Awesome experience with Coach Clark. My son is very excited to work with him. After our first meeting my son and I looked at each other and said, why didn’t we do this sooner.” - Parent of a current XC/Track senior in MD. He is currently navigating scholarship offers to run in college. Coach Clark trains him remotely and in person.

“Coach Clark has been an invaluable resource for my daughter and I throughout this season. His training has enabled her to make a great leap forward. He built her plans to be challenging, but realistic for her fitness level and goals. In addition to that, Coach Clark has been available to my daughter or I anytime we needed to talk to him to check in, ask questions, or just seek encouragement. My daughter and I are both enjoying this season more than any other.” - Parent of a current XC/Track senior in PA. She is running over a minute faster on most courses and has PR’d multiple times. Coach Clark trains her 100% remotely.

In my opinion, Chris is the best speed coach in the DMV. Coach Chris is very organized, specific and patient, and is really passionate about what he does.” - XFL Wide Receiver Todd Simmons Jr. Chris is his Speed Coach and helped him with his Pro Day/Showcase prep work while entering the NFL Draft and XFL athlete pool.

Private training is a game changer.

Why?

I’ll say it again, game changer. High School and club coaches have to spread their attention across the entire team. I know, I was one for 8 years. This can only get individual athletes so far. I have one job, create and execute training that is optimized for you. It also allows you to do what you need to continue to improve at your team practice or on your own.

I have an MS degree in Exercise Science, 15 years of Coaching experience, and 9 years of being an NCAA All-American and professional athlete. I’ve worked with thousands of XC, Track, and ball sport athletes in MD, PA, VA, and FL. This includes MS, HS, College, and Professional Athletes.

How?

Remote Training: We start with an in-person session or zoom consultation. I identify the areas of your training that need altered or added. Then I write a comprehensive plan that moves you in the direction of your goals. The plan lives in a Googlesheet we communicate back and forth on and serves as your training log. You can also call or text with anything. It can be done independent of or in conjunction with your team training.

In Person Training: We set up individual or small group training at a venue that works for both of us and get to work.

What to expect with Speed Development Training?

I meet athletes where they are at. I don’t write a single training session until I assess where they are. I test athletes at the beginning, and every 3-4 weeks. We test metrics specific to their sport using automatic timing systems and speed gps. I test things like the 40 yard dash with splits every 10 yards, 5-10-5 lateral shuttle drill, and broad jump. I also take video of the tests and analyze the athlete’s movement patterns using Coach’s Eye.

Every session includes drilling, resisted sprints, max speed sprints, plyometrics, and mobility.

Want to work with Chris?

Contact me via email or phone. I am highly effective remotely. When in person, I train primarily in the Frederick, Howard, and Montgomery County areas of central and eastern Maryland. We schedule sessions at a training venue that works for both of us, and then we get to work. I also have access to a couple strength training facilities in MD.

A little better every day.
